Dr. Capotosti became Senior Vice President of Research at AC Immune in March 2026 having previously been Vice President of Research since January 2025. She joined AC Immune in 2013 as a Research Scientist and went on to serve as Team Leader working primarily on small molecules targeting tau as therapeutic and diagnostic agents. She was subsequently Associate Vice President and Global Project Leader overseeing small molecule therapeutic programs targeting tau and α-synuclein, while also playing a key role in the α-synuclein PET tracer program, which delivered the first tracer capable of detecting α-synuclein pathology in patients.   Prior to joining AC Immune, Dr. Capotosti worked as a postdoctoral assistant at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), studying in vitro and in vivo interactions between lymphatic and immune systems. She obtained her PhD in Life Sciences from the University of Lausanne in 2010.
